Please Stop Summoning Me!
Chapter 74
Shen Yi walked alone on the vast white land, with only a beam of dismal white light shining straight on him from the sky, following his footsteps in the darkness. Suddenly, he heard a scream and recognized it as Su Ling's voice. Her voice directly ignored the distance and conveyed to Shen Yi's mind, like a special prayer.
Shen Yi frowned slightly, always feeling that the changes in his body were getting bigger and more special... to the extent that it was inhuman... 'Why was all this happening? Was it caused by the wrong summoning?'
Shen Yi remained silent and chased after the source of the sound.
Soon, he arrived at Su Ling and a strange man in a white robe who were confronting each other, as well as Tina who was crouching on the ground holding her head in pain.
All three noticed his arrival, but no one looked directly at him. Shen Yi knew what was happening. It was obvious that the scene they saw was completely different from what he saw. It was the same as when he saw Aina and Byron in the dream.
A strange sensation?
Shen Yi was slightly stunned and noticed that Su Ling's arms had already broken, revealing a mixture of flesh, bone, and tendons, and bright red blood kept flowing out of the wound as if it were a faucet that could not be stopped.
Regardless of whether this was reality or a dream, and whether the injury was truly effective or not, Shen Yi did not hesitate to swing his threaded wand and transform it into a black whip to strike the man in white.
The dream shattered the next moment.
---
On the blood-red ground, Su Ling held the handle of her
black sword tightly.
"The power to create miracles?"
She was analyzing the opponent's abilities. There were too many strange and ancient powers in this world, and knowing oneself and one's enemy could greatly increase the chances of winning. A person with only strength could not survive.
She slightly lowered her body, pressed down the blade, and prepared to strike.
The man in the white robe behind the desk snapped his
fingers, and gently uttered a word from his mouth.
"Sever."
With a loud bang, Su Ling's two arms broke in front of her, and red blood and bone fragments splattered everywhere. She looked at the scene with wide eyes, not yet realizing what had happened to her.
'Where did the attack come from?'
Intense pain spread throughout her body, making Su Ling grit
her teeth and nearly scream out loud. Due to the effect of the potion she had
taken, she was currently in a deep sleep and did not wake up from the intense
pain.
"This is the difference between you and me, the level
of the fight is not in the same dimension." The man smiled, leisurely and
relaxed, and continued to sit behind the desk reading.
The man thought the girl would lose her will to fight because of the pain and despair, but the next scene made him raise his eyebrows. Su Ling, whose arms were broken and blood was constantly flowing out, had a face full of pain but still used her mouth to hold the sword on the ground and pick it up again.
"What a wild beast." He couldn't help but exclaim.
Su Ling was covered in sweat, her throat convulsing as she
forced out a word through the pain.
"Down."
It had no effect. The man still sat there, smiling at her.
'Why wasn't it working...'
Su Ling was in increasing agony and
couldn't understand the man's abilities, nor could she think of a way to
respond.
"It's useless. My power knows no bounds, for I can
create miracles."
Su Ling didn't believe his nonsense. He wasn't a true god, so how could he be all-powerful?
What should she do now... just let herself be killed here?
She would wake up if that happened.
He seemed to read her thoughts and suddenly said, "No, it won't be that simple. Your body will also be killed."
The man smiled curiously and said, "But I won't kill
you. I need you to serve me with devotion. Your willpower is strong, but I
don't know how long it will last."
He paused for a moment.
"Excruciating pain."
The man in the white robe snapped his fingers again. Every part of Su Ling's body was wracked with an intense tearing pain, as if she were experiencing the pain deep within each cell. She screamed in agony and fell to the ground, rolling around.
"Serve me."
He snapped his fingers again. Su Ling continued to scream in agony on the ground, her face twisted with pain and anger.
The man calmly advised her, "Don't resist my commands,
or you will continue to suffer."
He fell silent, thinking to himself. It was clear that it would take some time for her to submit; this girl's willpower and strength were much higher than those of the Hidden Eye members. But capturing a high-ranking investigator would be very advantageous for the plan... all of this was for the new world he was about to create.
At that moment, the originally blood-red earth suddenly changed.
White earth swept over everything, completely changing the surroundings. Thunder roared all around, symbolizing the instinctive wriggling of worms as everything vanished.
All three felt a sense of peace.
The man in white robe was slightly stunned, frowned, and
immediately said, "Restore the original state."
Then he snapped his fingers.
Snap
Nothing happened.
The desolate white land was still around him, and his snapping was ineffective. The man in white robe was silent for a while, smiling as he combed his hair with the hand that snapped, covering up his strong embarrassment.
"Heh." He still smiled, but his pupils suddenly
shrank, obviously very shocked.
The effect of the tranquil place gradually relieved the pain on Su Ling's body. She crawled on the white land for a while before standing up in confusion.
She saw it.
Not far away, there was a gentleman in modern dress, but his head was a white skull. He exuded a strange aura that made people feel at ease. Just seeing him made desires, thoughts, and memories in her mind begin to fade, and everything unforgettable seemed to become unimportant.
'Don't look directly at the god!'
Startled, Su Ling wanted to close her eyes, but it was too late. She was too close. Her gaze became dull, and she stood still, gradually turning into a living doll, delicate and beautiful.
Tina, who was still in pain, also fell to the ground, but she did not directly look at the "Tranquil Singer" and her situation was much better.
The man in the white robe felt a terrifying pressure and aura, something he had never felt before in his many years, a complete divine atmosphere from another world!
An Otherworldly god was staring at him.
He inevitably gazed at the appearance of the god from another world, but did not lose consciousness immediately, but persisted for a while. He was fully aware that he could not be a match for an Otherworldly god.
There was only one way to save himself.
That was to make the battlefield cease to exist.
Then, in complete silence, His song descended.
It was an ancient tone, not within the range of sound that humans could produce, and its meaning was incomprehensible, but anyone or anything who heard it would feel at peace. The man in white robes came to a complete halt in the tranquil song, his expression, movements, and thoughts unchanged for a long time.
Suddenly, he began to melt away, his body gradually becoming almost nothing as if being erased by an eraser. Just before he disappeared completely, he uttered a word in a state of unconsciousness.
"Wake up."
Two fingers converged and trembled with all their strength, filled with struggle and despair. Before any trace of his existence disappeared completely, he finally snapped his fingers softly, with a not-so-loud sound.
Snap
The dream shattered.
——
Tina woke up. As soon as she woke up, she felt strange.
'Why was this big bed so crowded? It's supposed to be big enough.'
Soon, she found out that there was people on both
sides of her!
'The handsome wizard was lying on her left! What's going on? Why did he break into her room in the middle of the night?'
'Could it be that he wanted to do something terrible...'
Tina's mind raced, and then she quickly realized that a very
beautiful girl with black hair and a young face was lying on her right. She
looked like a high school student and was even more beautiful than Tina and
younger than her. Tina's emotions were complicated.
'Ah!'
Tina suddenly realized that something was wrong and shouted, "What? Three people sleeping together? This is progressing too fast!"
She blushed and thought for a moment before closing her eyes
and yelling loudly, "No! I can't accept this!"
Her dream experience with the wizard should not be like this! It should be more romantic! Because Tina's dream disappeared, Shen Yi also woke up naturally from his dream. This was due to the law of dimensions.
'What happened? That man was about to get hit by my whip, but
the dream suddenly shattered... Did Tina wake up?'
Shen Yi was still drowsy and not completely awake. He was lying in bed and suddenly got kicked! He was kicked off the bed and was confused about the situation. Shen Yi immediately heard Tina's shout.
"Wizard, I can't accept this. How could you?"
He got up confused and found that Su Ling was still asleep and didn't see him lose face, so he breathed a sigh of relief. He was almost exposed. Once he destroyed the dignified image of the "Divine Messenger", he would be in trouble.
Then, Shen Yi saw Tina, who was hiding behind the bed with
her arms crossed.
He took a deep breath, smiled, and reassured her,
"What's wrong with me?"
Tina blushed and pointed at him, then pointed at Su Ling.
"You, her, me, are you thinking..."
"I'm not, I didn't. Don't think too much." Shen Yi helplessly smiled and immediately explained.
"I'm just here to exorcise demons for you. She's my assistant. We just entered the dream together and solved the demon that was entangled in your heart."
"If you don't believe me, look at yourself. Have you
turned back into a normal person now?" Shen Yi said, although he sighed
inwardly as he actually found those non-human features quite interesting.
Tina was stunned on the bed for a while, then touched her body and found that the strange non-human features were indeed gone! She had turned back into a normal person! She was stunned for a moment, then burst into joy and jumped up, accidentally stepping on Su Ling who was still asleep on the bed.
"Thank you! Thank you so much! I'm back to normal!"
Tina thanked Shen Yi for a while, but he didn't pay attention to her and instead put on a serious face and went to check on Su Ling who still hadn't woken up. She had lost a lot of blood just now, and he didn't know if her condition had improved.
Shen Yi checked on Su Ling with concern, and was surprised to find that her injuries had disappeared, and the blood that had flowed seemed to have never existed. Could it be that because he interrupted the man's attack, the injuries that appeared in reality also disappeared? He felt that something was off.
Just as Shen Yi was thinking, Su Ling on the bed slowly
opened her eyes and woke up from her sleep.
"You finally woke up."
Shen Yi smiled, but then he quickly realized that something was wrong.
Su Ling's eyes were lifeless, without any emotion or spirituality. She lay on the bed like a delicate doll, motionless. He was taken aback and called out with concern.
"Su Ling?"
She seemed to have reacted, calmly turned her head to look
over, but still had no expression or thoughts.
"A trance state?"
Shen Yi frowned and thought about how to restore Su Ling's mind to normal. She lay quietly on the bed, as if no longer a living person, but a delicate doll.
"What happened to her? Mr. Wizard?"
Tina looked at the delicate but lifeless girl on the other
side of the bed, curious and afraid.
"...She was injured by a demon and needs some time to
recover."
Shen Yi was silent for a moment, not knowing how to get Su
Ling out of here. If it came down to it, they could only stay here for a while.
"Tina, we're going to stay in your room for one night."
"Ah, okay."
Tina nodded without objection, knowing that both of them
were her lifesavers.
"Thank you."
Shen Yi nodded gently, sitting on the small sofa next to him, looking at the two girls sitting and lying on the bed. He recalled the strange man who appeared in his dream, wearing a white robe and looking like a priest of the Crown Church, although he was under thirty. The dream collapsed in the end, probably caused by that man, who had escaped through this method.
He let him escape.
Shen Yi sighed, the bad news was that the "Miracle
White" had escaped, but the good news was that Tina's anomaly had been
successfully resolved.
"What should I do next..." He pondered.
At this moment, he suddenly heard a murmuring female voice in his ear. Shen Yi was very surprised, thinking it was a new summons, but he found that the environment around him was normal without any vibration.
'It's not a summoning, because there's no vibration.
What's going on?'
Shen Yi could vaguely perceive that the female voice did not have the world-renowned "Beland accent," but more like the accent of Emerica*, a country on another continent. Although both countries were using the same language, the accents were completely different.
"It's not from Beland... it may not be from Nolan, but
from another part of the world."
It seemed to be praying for its own salvation, praying for its own forgiveness, with pain and despair in its voice.
As if praying.
Shen Yi stood up, wanting to listen carefully to its
content, but the female voice suddenly disappeared.
Tina looked at him in confusion and asked, "Mr. Wizard, what are you planning to do?"
Shen Yi remained silent for a while, smiling and saying,
"Nothing."
He sat back down again.
"What's going on?"
Shen Yi sat on the sofa, slightly lowering his head, not telling Tina about the strange voice, as if nothing had happened. He had a feeling that the phenomenon of a strange voice transmitting to his mind was very similar to the situation in his dream just now, when he suddenly heard Su Ling's painful scream.
Praying... praying?
*[I couldn't find a direct t/l of Er Mai Rui to english so it will be Emerica for now although it does sounds clooser to America]
